Imagine a tranquil farm tucked away amongst the ancient trees of the prestigious 'Garden Route' with only a few minutes' drive away from the heart of the world renowned beauty of Plettenberg Bay. Turquoise beaches fade into the vast deep blue oceans highlighting the town in which this backpacking village is situated. Now stop imagining and know that this place really does exist, existing for a diverse range of people as this prime location offers many adventures and breathtaking sites for all who decide to visit it.

Whether you are an extreme sport fanatic, a food lover, a nature indulger, a friend of the animals or if you just really want to relax and take in the scenery- you've found your spot!!!

By day our informative reception offers you the wide range of activities which Plett and the surrounding areas offer. Our helpful staff will tell you everything you want to know and even do the booking for you. And no need to worry about how you are going to get around town as the Starling Village Shuttle Bus will escort you, free of charge 'nog al'. This Shuttle service will also collect you on your arrival to this magical beach town as well as drop you at your departing location.

By night there is an outdoor bar and lapa situated very near by a cozy fire which will make having a few 'dops' an even more pleasant experience on those chillier, windier evenings- come rain or sunshine, no matter. If it is sitting you have had enough of you can keep you and your company well entertained by playing pool, foosball or darts. And if it is sitting around that you do feel like our chill room will make for a fabulous evening of watching movies, playing board games or reading magazines. If it is a night on the town which you wish for and you have your dancing shoes on (or your drinking attire on), well then our Starling Shuttle will gallop you away into the nightlife of pubs, clubs or divine dining if you feel like splashing out on some good food.

Mmm…speaking of which, let us not forget our quest to make your stomachs feel satisfied. Our lunches comprise of tasty toasted sandwiches-a lunchtime classic! Dinner time means nothing better than a home cooked meal: succulent steak, egg and chips, possibly Italian style bolognaise or maybe it will be a 'local is lekker' potjie on the open fire. Come hungry! For those vegetarians out there, just make your tastes heard and you will have scrumptious veggie food at your service! 'Born up a tree' or is it 'Bon Appetite?' Either way, just write your name on the board and come and join us for the meal.

There are private rooms and shared dormitories available so if you need your space- you got it. If you like sharing space, there are always great people to meet! And not to worry- the horses, bunnies, and chickens all sleep outside…

Our reception sells Baz Bus tickets for those who are interested.

We can also save all your memories on a CD to make more space on your camera for the rest of your journey, free of charge (just hand us your memory card, which you'll get back, of course).

With this wide range of choice it may make it somewhat of a challenge to decide what you are going to do for the day. There is only one solution to that: stay longer and we will assure you that it will be extravagantly worth your while!!!
